Rules

Relaxed, cooperative PvE. Last updated June 15, 2026.

PvE first

If it is not yours, do not take it. If other players helped earn loot, share it. If your build blocks public access, move it. If you are unsure, ask in global chat before acting.

Bases are safe

No raiding, stealing, trap griefing, or taking from unlocked storage.

Loot is shared

Major event loot belongs to contributors, not whoever tagged first.

Access stays open

Do not block monuments, roads, rivers, waterways, or public paths.

Community matters

Keep chat readable, English in global, and bring issues to staff.

The rules

01No raiding, stealing, or griefingPureRust is PvE. Other players should not have to defend their home from you.
  • No raiding:do not break into, damage, or bypass another player's base.
  • No stealing:do not take from unlocked boxes, furnaces, sleepers, vehicles, corpses, backpacks, vending stock, or dropped items that are not yours.
  • No griefing:do not place traps at someone else's door, build around their base, block their access, or use loopholes to make their session worse.
  • No excuses:an open door, unlocked box, sleeping player, or abandoned-looking base is not permission to take anything.
02Share event loot fairlyMajor events are community content. If several people helped, several people get paid.
  • Patrol Heli, Bradley, Oil Rig, hackable crates, and other major activities take time and effort. Share loot with contributors.
  • The player who tags Patrol Heli or Bradley first does not claim all loot.
  • Use Combat Log contribution and global chat to agree what crates or boxes belong to which players.
  • If you spend your own key cards on a puzzle room, that puzzle-room loot is yours.
  • Public containers and CH-47 hackable crates are first come, first served unless players agree otherwise.
03Do not monopolize eventsNobody gets to turn the server's public PvE content into a private farm.
  • Do not continuously farm Bradley, Patrol Heli, Oil Rig, or major monuments back-to-back.
  • Step back so others can initiate events, or invite new and existing players to join and share the loot.
  • You cannot claim an entire monument, its public containers, or its puzzles for yourself.
  • If you are unsure whether someone is already doing an event, ask in global chat.
04Build without blocking the islandBuild big, build cool, but keep shared routes usable and keep server performance in mind.
  • Do not build walls around monuments or block access to them.
  • Do not intentionally block main roads, rivers, monument paths, public bridges, or common travel routes.
  • Do not block waterways before the first roadway. Small boats must be able to pass through.
  • Clean up abandoned bases, twig structures, and unused TCs when you move to a new spot.
05Vehicle limitsVehicles should be used, sold, or shared, not stockpiled forever.
  • A team may have up to 3 cars in active use without selling them.
  • A team may own up to 10 cars total only when 7 of them are in an auto vending machine shop and are actively being sold while the team is offline.
  • If cars are not in active use or genuinely for sale, reduce the count so other players have access to vehicles.
06Keep global chat cleanGlobal chat is for the whole server, so keep it readable and moderateable.
  • Trash-talk about scientists and other AI is fine. Toxicity toward players is not.
  • Racism, homophobia, sexism, hate speech, threats, harassment, or targeted abuse can result in an immediate ban.
  • Keep political and religious debates out of global chat.
  • Please use English in global chat so the moderation team can understand what is happening.
07Staff and supportStaff are here to keep the server stable, handle rule-breakers, and fix bugs.
  • Do not beg admins for free items, teleports, base spawns, event advantages, or special treatment.
  • Report rule-breakers or bugs by opening a Discord ticket.
  • Do not escalate rule-breaking yourself in-game. Report it and let staff handle it.
  • Admins may warn, mute, kick, ban, remove content, reset names, or restrict accounts to protect the community.
08General fair playThe written rules are not a loophole hunting ground.
  • Do not cheat, script, exploit, automate gameplay, abuse bugs, or bypass anti-cheat systems.
  • Do not evade bans, mutes, account restrictions, cooldowns, or admin decisions.
  • No spam, scams, phishing, malicious links, impersonation, private information sharing, or disruptive advertising.
  • False reports, evidence tampering, stat manipulation, and harassment of admins or reporters can result in moderation action.

FAQ

Can I take loot from an unlocked box?

No. If it is not yours, do not touch it. Unlocked storage is not public storage.

Who owns Heli or Bradley loot?

The contributors share it. The first tag does not claim everything. Use Combat Log contribution and chat to split loot fairly.

Can my team run the same event all night?

No. If others want a turn, step back or invite them to join. Repeatedly farming major events back-to-back is event monopolization.

How many cars can my team keep?

Up to 3 cars can be kept for active team use. Up to 10 total is allowed only if 7 are placed in an auto vending machine shop and are actively for sale while you are offline.

Can I block a river or waterway with my base?

No. You may not block waterways before the first roadway, because small boats need a clear throughway.

What should I do if someone breaks a rule?

Open a Discord ticket. Include player names, time, server, screenshots, clips, or Combat Log context if you have it.
